Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa)
Snowdon, Yr Wyddfa in Welsh, is 1,085 metres (3,560 ft) and the highest mountain
Hafod Eryri, at the summit of Snowdon.
The Hafod Eryri Visitor Centre was opened in July 2009 at the peak of Snowdon, to
offer climbers some refreshment upon reaching the summit. The name means a summer
residence (Hafod) in Snowdonia (Eryri), as it is closed during
the winter season.
